Information about City Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Petropavlovsk is named for the 2 packet boats “Saint Apostle Peter” and “Saint Apostle Paul”, which came to the peninsula in 1740 with the 2nd Kamchatka Expedition.
The city runs along the Avacha Bay for almost 30 kilometers. This is the industrial, cultural, and scientific centre of the Kamchatsky krai.
The convenient geographical position and well-developed system of transport traffic in future including the countries of Asia-Pacific region could be treated as the indisputable argument for the key role of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Municipal District in the structure of the tourist complex of the Kamchatsky krai.
