Jim Coughlin, Professor, School of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Michigan has made a presentation “Studying Engineering in the US“. In his presentation professor focused on vide range of topics starting from International Student Admissions Requirements to Academics and Library Facilities or availability of comfortable student housing and transportation.
During the last week of November there was an exhibition “Industry of Education” held in Volgograd. As always Volgograd American center was invited to take part in this exhibition. Moreover it was decided to perform this exhibition in the Library building where actually the American center is located. This exhibition
opened doors to all those - pupils, students, young professionals and their parents - who are interested in the education abroad. The American center booth was very popular among the visitors. It attracted more than 560 people who came to know more about educational opportunities in the United States both undergraduate and graduate levels as well as scholarships and funding opportunities for students from Russia.
Volgograd USG alumni have made a decision to celebrate Thanksgiving as an international holiday. They shared this holiday with the international students who currently study in Volgograd. Students from places like Japan, Austria, and China came to experience home cooking and celebrate Thanksgiving for the first time in their lives.
