Experimental learning with Senior English Language Fellow John Silver was a great success among Volgograd AC patrons on Saturday noon! Just after the very first part of John’s presentation “Can You Hear Me? How to be a Better Listener” all the participants feel comfortable talking and expressing their ideas in the English language easily. |

Volgograd AC welcomes Cindy Grabe, Technology Facilitator (Grand Forks, ND) two times during her one-week visit to Volgograd. Cindy’s first presentation “The College Journey” answers the most basic questions about studying in the US and addresses issues ranging from the practical to the personal, including finding a university, admission requirements, testing, academic life and even an interview with her children as students of the College and the University. |

22 FLEX alumni “just fresh” from the US from Astrachan, Saratov, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Bydennovsk, Kislovodsk, Taganrog, Kamensk-Shachtinskiy come to the American Center that is located in the Volgograd Oblast Library to take part in the re-entry seminar. The aim of the seminar is to provide a series of training exercises aimed at successful adaptation for just returned students and help them to overcome any physiological or other kind of difficulties back to Russia. |

Dr. Gregory Razran and Jamie Curtis from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania were the honorable guests for the English club meeting on Saturday evening. They come to Volgograd as a part of an exchange program between Volgograd State University and Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. |
