17.10.2009 | Movie Show and Discussion: "Super Size Me"

On October 17th there was a movie night at the American Corner. The movie offered for watching this time was a documentary entitled "Super Size Me" - one of the best contemporary examples of its genre, an Academy Award winner (2005).

25.05.2009 | American Week in Arkhangelsk

From May 18th till May 24th Arkhangelsk hosted its fourth annual American Week. The schools and universities of our town held some events connected with the culture, politics and history of the United States. There was also an Exchange programs Alumni meeting, a contest for young artists and litterateurs.

As a part of the “Arkhangelsk youth against piracy” project with the support by the US General Consulate (Saint Petersburg) we held a seminar entitled Counterfeit products: the problems and the control methods. Legal and social aspects.”

The third Student Conference on Americanism dedicated to new course in American-Russian relationship took place at the Pomor State University named after M.V. Lomonosov on April 20-21. Eric Johnson, Public Affairs Officer was a special guest of the Conference.
