On March 17, 2012 the exhibition of models of future Vologda urban environment fragments will take place at the American Corner of Vologda Academic Library. The authors of the projects are the students and post-graduate students of Fulbright alumnus, professor of the Department of Architecture of the Vologda State Technical University, Dr. Konstantin Kiyanenko. |

On February 26-26, 2012, scholarly conference-seminar Dialogues and meetings: Russian and American theater in the 20th century will take place at the American corner of the Vologda Academic Library. In the framework of the seminar the participants will discuss the following problems:
• Theater as a text: author-performance-stage-audience.
• Psychological theater in Russian and American tradition.
• ‘New forms are needed’: contemporary American and Russian dramaturgy
• Contemporary stage practices: from classics to the avant-garde.
• Stage design in Russia and America in the 20th century
We invite scholars, University teachers, alumni of American exchange programs, post-graduate students, students.

On January 26, at 3 p.m. two FLEX alumni – Olga Novikova and Yuliya Glinina will meet with Vologda schoolchildren at the American Corner of the Vologda Academic library. The girls recently returned from the USA. They studied at the American schools, lived in American families. The alumni will tell about their life in the USA, their foster parents, ‘cultural shock’ which they had during the first days in the country. They also are going to show photo and video presentations. The meeting should raise schoolchildren’s interest to the FLEX exchange program. |

The aim of the conference will be planning the activity of alumni, exchanging ideas on possible cooperation and integration to the Russian Fulbright Alumni Association. |
