Students and teachers of the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts, as well as regular AC patrons gathered at the American Center on the eve of the 6th anniversary of terrorist attacks on the USA on 9.11 2001. We watched the Discovery Channel film “Rebuilding Ground Zero. Engineering the Future” about the Liebeskind’s project of memorial center on the place of New York Twin-Towers. PAO Virgil Strohmeyer addressed to the audience and announced a minute of silence. The film was followed by a discussion involving professional topics: architectural outlook of modern city, city planning in Russia and the USA . More than 30 people took part in the event.
