At the American Center

Celebrate the Women's Month at the American Center! Come on Tuesdays at 5 pm to watch classic American films featuring American femmes fatales who became legendary women of their times. These classics were produced by Paramount Pictures, a major American motion picture production company, based in Hollywood, California. It was founded back in 1912 by a Hungarian-born Adolph Zukor. He signed and developed many of the leading early stars, among them Gloria Swanson, Mae West and Veronica Lake. These enduring icons of womanly glamour and seduction became sex symbols of the US in the 1930s and 1940s.
