The Legislative Fellows Program (LFP)

The Legislative Fellows Program (LFP) is sponsored by the Department of State's, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS administers the program for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. In 2012, 55 fellows will travel to the US to participate in the LFP, and 35 American supervisors will participate in reciprocal projects abroad.

The Yegor Gaidar Fellowship Program in Economics & Public Policy

The Yegor Gaidar Fellowship Program in Economics & Public Policy is a program of the U.S. Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law (USRF) and IREX (International Research & Exchanges Board). The fellowship provides opportunities for leading Russian economists and specialists in economic public policy to conduct collaborative research with U.S. economic experts, in order to strengthen the human capacity at Russian institutions in formulating public policy. It is named in honor of Yegor Gaidar (1956-2009), the first Minister of Economy and Finance of the RSFSR, the first Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of Democratic Choice of Russia, and Member of the State Duma.

Galina Starovoitova Fellowship on Human Rights and Conflict Resolution

Galina Starovoitova Fellowships on Human Rights and Conflict Resolution were established following U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's 25 January 1999 speech in Moscow, in which she announced funding for a memorial fellowship at the Kennan Institute of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in honor of Galina Starovoitova. The Fellowship is funded and administered in cooperation with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State.

The Fulbright Faculty Development Program

The Fulbright Faculty Development Program (FFDP) is designed for junior teaching faculty (no older than 39 years by the application deadline), who must be teaching at institutions of higher education in Russia. Applicants should have a minimum of two years teaching experience, intend to return to their home institution upon completion of the Program, reengage in teaching activities, and implement newly gained knowledge and experience gained on this program.
