American Information Center welcomed national communities of the Rostov Oblast which gathered to celebrate Don Multinational Poetry Day. This holiday was devoted to World Poetry Day declared by UNESCO in 1999. The goal of this holiday was to attract people attention to rich poetical heritage of the Don region and contribute to strengthening of friendship and mutual understanding between different nations and ethnic groups. |

On March 18, 2012 the discussion club “Dialogue” held round-table debates “Infanticide in the Rostov Region”. Representatives of local non-government organizations, mass media and medical centers, alumni talk about the problem of infanticide prevention and possibilities to help young mothers who got in different life troubles.
