Thus, the allotted time has expired, and it’s time to sum up Mini-Saga Writing Challenge Project results. To be honest with you we did not expect such active participation in this contest. We received 69 literary works in all seven thematic categories (Fairy Tales ¦ Fantasy / Science Fiction ¦ Horror / Crime ¦ Humor ¦ Romance ¦ Drama ¦Mixed). 35 sagas became the winners! All of them were considered to be interesting original works. Many participants e-mailed us sagas for each category. The qualified jury chose winners in each category. All winners will get an award and a certificate on February 22 at St. Valentine’s party and bragging rights for the rest of their lives. |

As the year was drawing to a close, we thaought it was the best time to remember the best moments of the year 2011.
Saratov American Corner asked everyone to post their reflections and recollections of the passing year here (or send them to our email SaratovAC@gmail.com) by 11.59 p.m. December 23rd. They could write about the people they met, the new things they learnt, the exciting experiences they had. The participants could also post pictures, songs, videos that they strongly associated with their memories of the passing year. (A surprise awaited all the project participants at the Christmas Party when they were given their recollections in the form of Christmas-tree decorations).
Christmas is a very special and memorable time of year for all, so never forget to share you recollections with others! |
