On January, 27th at 2.30 p.m. Tomsk American Center conducted virtual discussion with Kore Gleason, a director of Moscow American Center, on modern youth values. High school students who gathered at Tomsk AC really enjoyed this meeting and asked Kore a lot of questions.

Tomsk, January 16th. In connection with Dr. Martin Luther King's Day and forthcoming African American History Month, Tomsk American Center presents books and magazines display «Free at Last».
American Center also organized the showing of interesting documentaries: 1)King. -History Channel, 2008. 2)The March on Washington. –USIA,(с)1963. 3)Free at Last: Civil Rights Heroes. -2005.

On December, 23 Students of the Faculty of Business Administration came to Tomsk American Center to celebrate Christmas. Students sang songs together, played the guitar, made snowflakes from napkins, played traditional American games. They also watched videos where the leaders of different countries wished Merry Christmas to their peoples, there were Michel and Barak Obama, Queen Elizabeth II, Juan Carlos I, and even from Santa Claus himself from Finland! |

The regional competition among high school students devoted to the 110th anniversary of Walt Disney, which Tomsk American center organized together with Pushkin regional library, has come to the end. Not only Tomsk high school students, but also children from Loskutovo, Bakchar and Kolpashevo participated in it's finale. School children competed in funny contests, and then appeared in the images of their favorite cartoon characters. It was a real children holiday the participants of which were glad to plunge into the world of kind Disney's fairytales and everybody thanked the organizers for its holding, for warm and friendly atmosphere.

On December, 9th in Tomsk American center Evgeniy Perevodchikov, a Muskie alumnus and a graduate of the Washington State University, delivered a lecture about his American life experience. All the students showed great and sincere interest in the topics covered and asked a lot of questions.
