Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk American Corner continued working with young users. This time American Corner officers celebrated Easter with students of the school “World of Future” under Zakharova G.V.

11.04.2012 | Kindle e-readers are available in American Centers and Corners!

The U.S. Embassy in Moscow provided Kindle E-Readers to American Centers and Corners in Russia! You may use these Kindles in the American Center to enjoy free access to dozens of English-language fiction and non-fiction covering topics such as U.S. business, history, culture, and education.

11.04.2012 | “Russian and English through Songs”

On April 11 Dae Kim, Public Affairs Officer of American Consulate General in Vladivostok, visited Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk American Corner. His presentation sounded like “Russian and English through Songs”.
Dae Kim shared his original way of learning foreign language through songs. English Club Members enjoyed his playing guitar and singing Russian and American songs. They actively accompanied to the consul and were strongly impressed by his charisma. One of honorable guests was Nosov V.N., Officer of Russian Foreign Ministry, with his first visit of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk American Corner. Among English Club Members were school and university students, teachers of Russian and English and all who was fond of English.
