On April 24 American Corner invited English language learners and lovers of songs. Dae Kim, Public Affairs Officer the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok, delivered a musical presentation "Learning English through songs". Dae Kim spoke about the original method of memorizing foreign vocabulary through songs, and demonstrated his way of overcoming difficulties in learning Russian. Dae Kim’s performance caused great interest and applause from the appreciative audience.

On March 27, Peg Walther, Regional Information Resource Officer, U.S. Embassy in Warsaw, delivered presentations for the libraries community in Vladivostok. More than 40 representatives from university, public, school and special libraries enjoyed the professional meeting and expressed their wish to use new knowledge and develop their activity for the benefit of their patrons.
