On the 27th of May while celebrating Russian Library's Day, our librarians went to other libraries of the city and told about the largest and most famous world's national libraries. Coordinator of the American Center made a presentation about The Library of Congress. The presentation included general description of the library, history of its establishment, statistics of books charged and patrons visited, etc. Besides, taking into account the fact that the AC Coordinator actually had a chance to see this very library with her own eyes, the presentation was a success. Numerous photos of the library interior and exterior were shown, questions were asked and successfully answered, rules of the library explained and compared to our own. All in all, the goal of the presentation was to show how other libraries function and to share the foreign experience with our colleagues who don't have the opportunity to see that library and who can't even read about it because they don't know English. The language of the presentation was Russian.
