Experimental learning with Senior English Language Fellow John Silver was of a great success among USG alumni and Volgograd AC patrons on Saturday noon! This is a second time when John comes to Volgograd with his presentation.
John Silver has been teaching English and training teachers for 15 years in America, the Former Soviet Union and Asia. He is currently working at the Institute of Management, Business and Law in Rostov-on-Don. John also works closely with the U.S. Embassy’s English Language Office to develop teacher training programs in the region. A graduate of the School for International Training in Vermont, John is an enthusiastic adherent of Experiential Learning. He especially enjoys teaching fun Communicative Language activities for speaking and listening.
This time John’s presentation "Communicative English Language Teaching Activities" was of great success among the participants. All of them feel comfortable talking and expressing their ideas in the English language, playing “Marshrutka Mayhem” game or drawing pictures on their neighbors backs. There were lots of fun and excitement.
