If someone gets a trivia question: «What is the most important holiday in the USA during the fall?», he or she will give a definite answer «That's Thanksgiving, for sure». Forth Thursday of November is typical national american holiday – Thanksgiving. But now it is time to make it popular in Russia, learn how to cook turkey and cornbread and be thankful for what we have in our lives.
On November 24th, everyone could come to Kaliningrad American corner and feel the warm atmosphere of Thanksgiving celebration and watch special selected “Friends” episodes. However, no one could cook a real turkey, guests had chance to try traditional pumpkin pie and cornbread. The only disappointment at the end of the evening was that there is no tradition of Black Friday in Kaliningrad when the biggest Christmas sales get started. What if next time alumni prepare some turkey for shop assistants?
