Irina has told about the history of the institute. It was started by young Petrozavodsk University graduates. Initially they were engaged in writing projects and grants, but later they decided to teach others instead of writing themselves. That’s how they came up to distance education, which now is the guideline. Educational portal «Moi universitet» is a virtual platform of the institute (http://www.moi-universitet.ru/). For more than 10 years of existence a small group of enthusiasts has grown to the nationwide association with over 300 employees.
The basic audiences of an educational portal are teachers interested in distance education, beginning businessmen and those who are connected with project management and grant writing.
