On December 1 American corner together with Khabarovsk department of all-Russia organization of small and medium entrepreneurship finished their joint project. The project comprised 3 seminars (November 21, November 28 and December 1) for local entrepreneurs interested in Industrial licensing, Small business and Taxation in the USA. The seminars were led by Bill Bettencourt, a Fulbright fellow and an International Business and Management instructor at Edmonds community college (Washigton, USA). Bill’s educational and professional background allowed him to share his knowledge and experience on the subjects of the seminars. Khabarovsk entrepreneurs were able to express their ideas concerning the topics discussed at the seminars. So the project gave the overall idea of Industrial licensing, small business and taxation both in the USA and Russia. The information concerning the project was presented in some media portals of Khabarovsk which led to attracting more people to participate in it. Evgeniya Kulgina, a Global UGRAD alumna, and Anatoliy Fomin, a Hubert H.Humphrey fellowship program alumnus assisted in the project by interpreting during the seminars. It’s also necessary to mention that the chief of Khabarovsk department of all-Russia organization of small and medium entrepreneurship is Sergey Mazunin, an Open world alumnus. Sergey Mazunin together with the representatives of the organization and the AC coordinator (IVLP alumna) Mariana Tambovtseva think that there is the potential for joint projects of the AC and business professionals and local businesses.
