The American Center in Moscow has the honor to host U.S. Embassy officers twice a month for its "Conversation Cafe" program. Officers come and speak about their work at the Embassy, or specific American hobbies, aspects of culture or other topics that are near and dear to their hearts. This December 7th we hosted the program as usual, but it was a bittersweet meeting as it was also a farewell to one of our favorite speakers from the Embassy, James Stanley. James spent his last presentation reflecting back on his years in Russia, how much he enjoyed it and what his future plans are. He shared his photographs from his years here, and even brought several copies of his photos in order to give to patrons. It was a wonderful evening and we hope that your future paths will bring you again to Russia!
