We had the joy of hosting world-renowned documentary filmmaker, Marina Goldovskaya, who was in Russia to partake in the ArtDocFest. Marina's lastest film, "The Bitter Taste of Freedom: Anna Politkovskaya" made its premier opening in Russia this month. It drew much praise and standing ovations. Ms. Goldovskaya spoke about her longtime friendship with the late Politkovskaya and how she was able to film so much of her intimate life. Ms. Goldovskaya currently heads the documentary film section at the UCLA Film School, and spoke with patrons about the art and importance of documentary film-making.
