The regional competition among high school students devoted to the 110th anniversary of Walt Disney, which Tomsk American center organized together with Pushkin regional library, has come to the end. Judging by the results of the 1st round 6 teams were chosen for participation in the final round which took place on December, 13th in the assembly hall of Pushkin Regional Library. Not only Tomsk high school students, but also children from Loskutovo, Bakchar and even from Kolpashevo, a settlement located in the north in five hours' journey from Tomsk, participated in it. School children competed in funny contests, and then appeared in the images of their favorite cartoon characters. Spectators enjoyed good English language and artistic representation of scenes from cartoon films «Snow white and Seven Dwarfs», «Cinderella ","The Beauty and Beast ». The sketch by school children from Kolpashevo, in which characters of Disney's cartoon films after amusing disputes on who the main character is, sang together the wonderful song from which the words were chosen for this competition title, ended the evening wonderfully. Dreams do come true (if achieved persistently) – as the dream of children from Kolpashevo to win in the competition «Dreams Come True» actually came true. All the participants received certificates from the USA Embassy in Moscow and from American Center, as well as prizes and gifts, which were bought thanks to the grant provided by the USA Embassy.
The same day rewarding of winners of the contest of drawings and hand-made articles, with which the hall was decorated, took place. It was a real children holiday the participants of which were glad to plunge into the world of kind Disney's fairytales and everybody thanked the organizers for its holding, for warm and friendly atmosphere.
