On the 2nd of December 2011 the Memory evening dedicated to the veterans of northern convoys from Arkhangelsk took place in the Reading Hall of Arkhangelsk Regional Children’s Library. The meeting started with the ceremonial presentation of the manual "Northern Convoys: Heroism and Tragedy" and of the film show “The Road of Courage” made by the students of Arkhangelsk Naval college.

For this significant event the chairman of the veterans' council of the Northern shipping company Boris Karpov, the author of book “We Remember You” Alexander Somkin and other veterans - participants of students' film were invited.
The meeting finished by the videoclip “Arkhangelsk - the city of military glory”. Creative group “Severnyi prospect” performed a song of the same name.

The event was arranged in the frame of the project "Dervish 2011" and received financial support from US Consulate General in St. Petersburg.
