Tomsk, January 16th. In connection with Dr. Martin Luther King's Day and forthcoming African American History Month, Tomsk American Center presents books and magazines display «Free at Last». The editions displayed on it acquaint center patrons with the life and work of this outstanding human rights campaigner as well as with the whole history of the African American social movement towards liberty and equality, with other remarkable figures – beginning from those who exited a riot on “Amistad”, who helped to take over refugees from slave states, to the first in the US history African American president – Barack Obama.
American Center also organized the showing of interesting documentaries:
