Thus, the allotted time has expired, and it’s time to sum up Mini-Saga Writing Challenge Project results. To be honest with you we did not expect such active participation in this contest. We received 69 literary works in all seven thematic categories (Fairy Tales ¦ Fantasy / Science Fiction ¦ Horror / Crime ¦ Humor ¦ Romance ¦ Drama ¦Mixed). 35 sagas became the winners! All of them were considered to be interesting original works. Many participants e-mailed us sagas for each category. The qualified jury chose winners in each category. All winners will got an award and a certificate on February 22 at St. Valentine’s party and bragging rights for the rest of their lives.

We’d like to thank absolutely all participants for the pleasure we’ve got reading their mini-masterpieces. Their works demonstrated once again that literary writing is not reserved for the elite. Moreover, the age and place of residence are not critical. We are happy and proud that among our winners are the representatives of different regions of Saratov Oblast. Among them are Engels, Tatischevo, and Petrovsk Regions.

Why do you need to participate in such contests? Firstly, it’ll boost your proficiency in grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and will help you approach future writing assignments with ease and confidence. Secondly, when creating a complete work of fiction, you realized how much you could accomplish when you put your mind to it. We hope this contest leaves you asking yourselves, “What’s next?” Thirdly, creating a story, even such a short one, complete with characters, situations, and even dialogue from scratch helped you think, but it also taught you how to apply your fanciful ideas to a full project.
