American center in Chelyabinsk, Consulate General in Yekaterinburg jointly with Photo Agency "Russian View - Ural" presented photo project «Pahaska Tepee» (translated from Indian language as "Indian mobile home").
Group of like-minded photographers set the task "Open America for themselves and try to show this country as it really is".
The result of their trip to America are two photo exhibitions.
Participants of the photo project drove by car from New York to Los Angeles - "from the Atlantic to the Pacific." About 9 thousand miles, dozens of towns and cities, over 25 motels, crossed the border of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, California. They visited National Parks: The Tower of the Devil, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Grand Canyon.
The exhibition will be held at two locations in Chelyabinsk:
1) Plekhanov st. 41, P. Tchaikovsky South Ural State Institute of Arts - photo series "Across cities and national parks of America" from February 3 to March 30, 2012. Opening on February 3 at 12:00.
2) Voroshilov st. 12, Russian-British Institute of Management - photo series "American roads" - from February 13 to March 30, 2012. Opening on February 13 at 13:00.
Opening hours: from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission free.
