American Center in Yekaterinburg hosted a February meeting of
Discussion club "Discover America! Florida and Wisconsin".
Despite the harsh winter weather, more than 40 people attended this
event to meet with US Consulate General in Yekaterinburg
representatives Kimberly Williams and Elizabeth Kourten. There was a
fair number of schoolchildren in the audience, some of them coming
from out of town, Nizhniy Tagil and Pervouralsk.

Kimberly Williams made a presentation about the state she is coming
from - Florida, and reflected on the fact that at the times like these
warm ocean, sand and sun eagerly come to mind. Elizabeth Kourten
shared her memories of Wisconsin, where she was born and grew up. Our
guests learned a lot of unique historical facts, and also had chance
to ask numerous questions about famous sights, the largest cities,
lifestyle and occupations of people living in Florida and Wisconsin.
