Experimental learning with Senior English Language Fellow John Silver was a great success among Volgograd AC patrons on Saturday noon! Just after the very first part of John’s presentation “Can You Hear Me? How to be a Better Listener” all the participants feel comfortable talking and expressing their ideas in the English language easily.
John Silver has been teaching English and training teachers for 15 years in America, the Former Soviet Union and Asia. He is currently working at the Institute of Management, Business and Law in Rostov-on-Don. John will also be working closely with the U.S. Embassy’s English Language Office to develop teacher training programs in the region. A graduate of the School for International Training in Vermont, John is an enthusiastic adherent of Experiential Learning. He especially enjoys teaching fun Communicative Language Teaching activities for speaking and listening.
We are glad that on his first ever visit to Russia, Volgograd American Center has become one of the first places for John to deliver his wonderful presentation!
