April 16, 2009. The American Information Resource Center proudly presented a guest speaker, the Director of Fulbright Programs in Russia, Anthony Koliha, who told the students, teachers and other guests of the event about the variety of programs offered this year in Russian Federation. There are grants for Russian academics who wish to participate in lecturing or research at a host institution in the United States; there is a master’s degree program and Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program, the participants of which teach the Russian language and culture to the American students.
Mr. Koliha explained the details of participating in this or that program and gave useful recommendations on fulfilling the necessary documentation.
Such international programs are sure to bring benefits to both American and Russian people, they make it possible to provide scientific and valuable cultural exchange.
