The American Center hosted a guest speaker from the Political Section of the US Embassy in Moscow David J. Kostelancik, the Chief of the Political Internal Unit. The topic of the presentation was connected with the last elections in the US, one of the most discussed subjects in the world today.
The students showed genuine interest in the discussion, asking questions about the economic crisis and the ways to cope with it as seen by newly elected president, Barak Obama. Besides, they wanted to know more about the relationship between the USA and Georgia, the USA and Russia in the field of politics and economics. The students were also interested in cultural and student exchange programs. The meeting proved to be rather informative and filled with the students’ readiness to exchange their opinions on political, economical and cultural subjects.
