On the August 28, 2008 American Corner held a meeting of FLEX program graduates.
The aim of the meeting was to get acquainted with new FLEX program graduates who have recently returned from the USA. The novices and the old graduates shared their impressions of the US trip. The conversation was accompanied by presentations and pictures. Then there was a time for creativity: the graduates painted together a poster of their own America and tried to express their impressions in the painting. The meeting was lively and interesting: there was a tea party and talks with interesting people. The novices also got acquainted with activity and recourses of American Corner. During the meeting there also was discussed a question about FLEX program graduates participation in the Knowledge Day that is annually held in Omsk State Scientific Library named after A. S. Pushkin on the September 1. Marina gladly agreed to tell high school children about FLEX program. The graduates also agreed to help American Corner with volunteer engagement and organization of a high school student competition Omsk Alphabet which is going to be launched on September 10, 2008. The atmosphere of the meeting was warm, simple, friendly and joyful.
