On the 24th of January Oleg Krokhalev, an alumnus of FLEX program gave an interesting presentation on Colorado as part of the project “50 States: discover America!” During his exchange year he traveled a lot with his friends around the US. One of the states he stayed in the longest and liked the most was Colorado. Colorado is located in the Rocky Mountain region. Denver is the capital and the biggest city of Colorado. The state is known for its magnificent views of mountains, rivers, lakes and plains. There are many tourist resorts in Colorado. Oleg shared his impressions on Colorado, its cities, climate, and culture. He visited many places in Colorado, including: Colorado Springs, Vail, different museums and unusual buildings, like the Cadet Chapel at the US Air Force Academy. But as he traveled during the fall he could not enjoy all the advantages of Colorado in winter time. Viktoria Shakirova, alumna of FLEX program as well, got a chance to explore Colorado during the winter, her host family took her to Vail. She spoke about this particular resort, shared her impression and presented some pictures. Patrons of the American Corner were glad to explore one more state of the US and agreed on the fact that Colorado is a wonderful place to visit.
