31.01.2010 | Play dough crafts for St Valentine's Day
Share:
On January 31 a group of volunteers of the American Corner visited our friends at Orphanage 1. This time we decided to make a workshop on making nice presents for St. Valentine’s Day with the help of play dough. Our most skillful and talented instructor was a student of the Perm Technical University Firuza Zueva. This time she was teaching us how to make heart-shaped gifts for our friends and people we love. Thank to the grant provided by Project Harmony we bought all the materials – flour, salt, oil, paints and materials for decoration and started mastering this wonderful craft! It was really exciting and fun for everybody and all the kids showed a lot of fantasy, it was nice to see their sparkling eyes! Very soon we could see cute hearts, bears, snails and other nice things that they made with their hands. The American Corner volunteers told them about the history of the holiday and about Saint Valentine who is a patron of people who love, are loved and are eager to share their love with other people!
