Tomsk AC is continuing the program “American Literature Year” by opening a new literature contest for 5-8 grades. Twenty difficult questions about famous Frank Baum’s book “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” and his biography have been posted on the web-sites of Tomsk Methodological Center and Pushkin Regional Library (See Materials for Visitors). Every school from Tomsk region can apply for the contest and receive as a gift adapted edition of this wonderful novel purchased by the Alumni Small Grant.
On February,2 employees of Tomsk AC took part in the Conference for high school ESL teachers held by Tomsk Methodological Center. They told about the resources of Tomsk American Center, gave out the Tomsk AC flyers and bookmarks with the emblem of the contest and contact information. Also teachers were told about the rules of the contest and were invited to take part in the contest. Mаny teachers are going to visit the American Center with their students soon.
