On January 18th one of the Global UGRAD alumna Anna Malinovskaya started a series of video viewing devoted to human rights. The main idea of this series is to awake people’s awareness of human rights problems. People coming to such viewings are supposed to discuss the problem depicted in each film. That’s why there is going to be a coordinator of every film in this series who will lead the discussion. The first film was called “Persepolis”. It’s a story of a precocious and outspoken young Iranian girl that begins during the Islamic Revolution. At the beginning of the video viewing Anna Malinovskaya told the guests about the main idea of this series and introduced Podoinitseva Margarita, a member of the Debate club, who was going to hold the event. Students of different institutions were invited to this event. The viewing was followed by a hot discussion.
