On March, 23 Tomsk American Center was visited by the English language teachers of secondary schools. For a long time the AC has worked closely with the Tomsk Institute of advanced Studies for school teachers, and this time TIASST helped AC to attract the local teachers. They were acquainted with AC collections and programs. Also AC employees told them about the English Language Office in the U.S. Embassy and about the books, CDs and DVDs issued there. Then teachers “attended” the English lessons of the best ESL teachers through looking some parts of DVD set “Language Teaching Methods” issued by ELO. Many teachers, after having visited the American Center, are going to visit it with their pupils in order to show them a lot of interesting books and DVDs on USA, American life and culture.
