While February in Yekaterinburg American Center could be noted as "month of" off-site events, May was exceptional for the number of excursions. This month Anna Loginova and Tatyana Babkina conducted 6 excursions for 90 high-school and undergraduate students.
This February as a Library Lovers Month in American Center broke a record on off-site events. Our EducationUSA adviser Tatyana Babkina took part in the Seventh International Exhibition "Education abroad", that was in session for two days. More than 300 exhibition visitors, mostly students, were consulted on resources and book collection of American Center as well as opportunities to study in the US. 3 off-site presentations on American Literature for high-school students were conducted by USG Exchange Program Alumni (IVLP-2005) and AC staff member Nadezhda Loginova
Digital Video Conference with the representative of American Business School library - Debie Gurkin - took place in American Info Center on the 15th of February. Debie is Access & Curriculum Services Manager in Kresge Business Administration library of one of the leading Business Schools in the US - Ross Business School in the University of Michigan. More than 40 Staff members of the university, special and public libraries of Yekaterinburg participated in the conference. Among them were 6 USG programs alumni.
Somewhat unusual event took place in American Info Center in observance of International Education Week. Tatyana Babkina, EducationUSA adviser in Yekaterinburg, conducted presentation in the format of Digital Video Conference for the students of Magnitogorsk (Chelyabinskaya Oblast').
