02.04.2010 | “American Faces and Places in Saint Petersburg” - excursion

The excursion was prepared by Ksenia Groshikova, a student of the University of Culture and Art, whose diploma work is devoted to the problem of American-Russian tourism. Ksenia did practical work at our American Corner and used American Corner resources for finding information about the tour.
The excursion was full of new facts and interesting information. We spoke about the destinies of Nabokov and Brodsky, saw the house, where John Quincy Adams, the first American ambassador lived, learned about George Washington Whistler, prominent American railroad engineer, and his son James Abbott McNeill Whistler, very famous artist and many others prominent Americans.
