On International Children’s Day children drawing exhibition on books of American writers was opened in Tomsk State University Library. Schoolchildren from Tomsk and Tomsk region took part in this drawing contest organized by the Tomsk American Center as a part of the program “American Literature Year”. In April the winners of the contest were announced and awarded, and after two months exhibition in the Pushkin Regional Library all drawings are exposed in the Tomsk AC host library. Now its visitors have a chance to see these children’s bright vision of the American Literature heroes. Students and teachers look with great interest at these original illustrations to the works of Mark Twain, Jack London, Edgar Allan Poe, James Fennimore Cooper and other favorite American authors.
This exhibition closes the program “American Literature Year in Tomsk” which Tomsk American Center held last academic year using the Small Alumni Grant from the US Embassy.
