On the 7th of April Irkutsk American Corner performed a joint event with the Grand Reading Room of the Library. Together they used a library biblio-mobile to go to the distant university of Irkutsk which is situated on the outskirts of the city. The students of this University are future agricultural specialists, they also study hunting and cattle breeding.

We used this biblio-mobile to speak to the students about the possibility for them to go abroad. We told them where to address if they want to receive a grant for the research or study. I told them about Maski and Ugrad programmes and also showed them posters about Fulbright.

The advantage of this biblio-mobile is that it is equipped with Internet and all the needed modern devices. It has shelves for displaying books. But the main point of it is that it gives us the opportunity to travel far away from out library. So the people who can not reach us themselves would have the possibility to find out about us.
